GPS Quality Indicator
The GPS Quality Indicator, located at the top-right corner of the map, shows the quality of the GPS signal being received. Location accuracy and stats delivered from GPS data depends heavily on GPS signal quality.
-
4 Black Bars (⬛⬛⬛⬛) – No GPS Available
Your device is not receiving any GPS signal. The location cannot be determined, and you may see large jumps on the map or gaps in the recorded activity. Activity stats that rely on GPS data cannot be calculated reliably. -
1 Red Bar (🟥⬛⬛⬛) – Very Weak GPS Signal
GPS quality is very low. Location accuracy is poor, and you may see jumps or inaccuracies in the recorded data. -
2 Orange Bars (🟧🟧⬛⬛) – Moderate GPS Signal
GPS quality is moderate. Location accuracy is acceptable for activity tracking, and stats based on GPS data should be calculated reliably. -
3/4 Green Bars (🟩🟩🟩⬛) – Good GPS Signal
GPS quality is good. The location should be accurate within 1–3 meters, and all stats based on GPS data should be calculated reliably.
Key notes:
- The more colored bars you see, the stronger the GPS signal.
- Black bars indicate no GPS signal, while colored bars — from red (low) to green (high) — represent increasing GPS signal quality.
